The India television industry’s most prominent awards night, STAR Parivaar Awards 2007 was truly an affair to remember, featuring never before seen acts and performances, and for the first time in Indian television history, took the route of a Broadway musical.

Reading resident, Rajaram and his wife, who won the STAR competition of an all-expenses paid trip to Mumbai to attend the glamorous event, were delighted by the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The spectacular event was hosted by the sultry scorcher Sangeeta Ghosh together with her popular on-screen interests Shabbir Ahluwalia & Varun Badola. Adding to STAR’s Parivaar this year, the three new members, Ashima Bhalla, Karan Grover and Soumya Tandon (Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni) performed the title track of the show, while Narayani Shastri & Ali Asgar with fellow artist Manav Gohil set the stage ablaze with their performances on foot-tapping tracks of Hey Babu…. & Signal Pyar Ka… from the entertainer of the year ‘Bhagam Bhaag’.

The constellations of glitterati were charged as Yash Tonk and Pallavi Subhash (Karam Apna Apna) threw in some high-voltage performances on Chali Chali, Shava Shava and Gori Gori, while Mouni Roy (KT from Kyunki....) unleashed her dancing talent with the track Barso Re Megha (Guru).

The starry night touched its penultimate as the show-stealer & twinkle-toed duo of Hussain and Juhi Parmar (Kumkum) put forth their rocking best and set the stage on fire, together with fellow stars Rita Bhaduri, Eijaz Khan, Sanjeeda, Vikas Sethi, Hiten & Gauri Pradhan, Rakshanda Khan and Sudha Shivpuri (Baa from Kyunki…) on dance numbers like Salame-e-Ishq, Rock n Roll, Mahi Ve and many more.
