PROVOKED SUCCEEDS IN DRAWING IN CINEMA GOERS ON ITS OPENING WEEKEND

Friday 6th April saw significant audiences drawn to watch Jag Mundhra's highly acclaimed new film, Provoked.

With its compelling subject matter (based on the true account of Kiranjit Ahluwalia's torment in a ten-year, abusive marriage, culminating in the killing of her husband, her life imprisonment for murder and subsequent release on the grounds of provocation) and an accomplished cast of both Bollywood and mainstream stars such as Aishwarya Rai, Nandita Das, Robbi Coltrane, Miranda Richardson and Steve McFadden, Provoked was a popular choice among film audiences over the Easter weekend and is forecast to continue attracting moviegoers well into the forthcoming weeks.
